I've never been in a real art class, mostly because the one I had in sixth grade was taught by an uber Nazi, which is not good when you're about twelve and have no idea what you're doing. But I signed up for this advanced art class at my high school because I really want to be a comic book artist and I need to widen my range.

But now I'm remembering why the hell it's so stupid to sign up for an art class.

For art, my summer assignment is to write SEVEN essays, and then compose at least four in depth, planned out, meaningful pieces of work that meet one of the challenges she gave me. And then, on top of that, I have to compose another FIFTY things to put into my research workbook. On top of that, if I do all of this work and she dislikes it, I still fail. O.O I'm so screwed.

I guess I never imagined that art would be so...hard. I didn't expect it to be easy, but I was hoping that it wouldn't absorb my entire summer. At this point I'll be working all the way through my vacation. And then I'll still have the school year to live through!

Is widening my range really worth all of this? I think it might be better if I just said "Fuck it" and took a nap.

I could always take psychology next year!
